“Good judgment escapes us the moment we’re told by someone in a lab coat that we must submit to a drug or procedure. It’s as though the lobotomy has already taken place.” -Unknown
Homeopathy is a method of healthcare embraced by families the world over for more than two centuries. The practice of self-treatment for simple acute illnesses via homeopathy has sidled right alongside the professional practice of homeopathic physicians.
Unlike their conventional medical counterparts, homeopathic physicians welcomed this practice. This is one remarkable distinguishing factor between homeopathic doctors and their conventional, American Medical Association (AMA) counterparts.
These two medical factions (homeopathic physicians and the AMA) have been at odds since the early 1800s because of their significantly dissimilar philosophies. As a result, there has been political infighting within the world of medicine of which most of the public is unaware.
Once we understand this controversy, it becomes evident why homeopathy no longer has a foothold in the American medical scene, and only thrives in homes, behind closed doors.
Both conventional and homeopathic medical groups formed trade associations to represent the interests of their members. In fact, the first American medical association was called the American Institute of Homeopathy and was founded in 1844. In 1846, a rival, antagonistic group emerged called the American Medical Association (AMA).
The difference between the two factions was that the AMA formed with the sole purpose of discrediting the homeopathic physicians and their medical viewpoint. The AMA was particularly troubled by the fact that homeopathic physicians openly warned their patients and the public that drugs would prove dangerous for them as well as for forthcoming generations. It was inevitable that trouble would brew.
Consequently, in an effort to halt this assault on drugs, the AMA organized, and purposefully calculated to crush the practice of homeopathy in the United States. This well funded “quackery campaign” was backed by the newly emerging drug industry. The movement was a colossal success and remains under way. This occurred primarily in the United States and Canada.
During this time homeopathy thrived in all of free Europe, South America, and India, as it continues to do today. In many of those countries, nearly forty percent of the doctors remain either homeopathic or refer their patients to homeopaths. Homeopathic hospitals and clinics are also common.
Now, we are witnessing a revival of homeopathy that began about 30 years ago amongst non-medical practitioners and smart mothers. The recovery of this valuable science has come about mostly as a result of mothers who instinctively knew that there must be a better way. And, indeed, there is.
“Revolution means turning the wheel.” Igor Stravinsky
If you seek to prevent the illnesses or handle them at home through alternative methods, then these words might take you an important step further on the road towards independence in your health care. Learning to take full responsibility for you and your family’s health is empowering, safe, and cost efficient.
For thousands of years, women (and other family caregivers) have been the nurturers, birth attendants, and healers. It is only in the last century or so that the “business” of health has been turned over to someone outside of the family. This did not happen by accident.
One of the major health issues most Americans face is our passivity. This is the belief that someone else is taking care of us, the government (the FDA, USDA, and State Health Departments), doctors, and even the AMA. We have wrongly assumed that “they wouldn’t allow us to be harmed”, or “he/she knows best”, or, worse yet, “it’s their job to provide”.
We can and must assume responsibility for our own health and the health of our children and grandchildren. If we do not, then decisions will be made in favor of those who are making the decisions, rather than for us. And who is “us”? We are the mothers, fathers, grandparents, daughters, sons, and friends who are the ultimate caretakers of the unwell and needy in our families and circles.
If you have experienced a prolonged illness or stayed in a hospital, you have probably learned that the medical professionals’ jobs encompass much more than our particular “case”. Expediency and following long-standing procedures are often the motivating factors contributing to decisions regarding our healthcare.
In reality, we are all individuals with differing illnesses, presentations, and needs. These standards often clash, with the patient in a losing position. This is not to say that doctors don’t have a conscience, nor are they uncaring; rather they are trained for methods that are drug or surgically laden.
Their bag of tricks is generally a combination of nostrums that are not only dangerous on their own but also synergistically.
What if, instead, you could assemble an entirely new, radically different, exciting, and satisfying way to take care of your family? What if it was fundamentally different from what you’ve been told, what you’ve been sold, and what you’ve accepted all these years as truth?
And, most importantly, what if this divergent way was profoundly capable…far beyond the ways you’d been taught? What if you could revolutionize your thoughts, your life style, your method of health care, and hence your quality of life by learning this new way? What if?
I say: explore the potential by cleaning out the old. Let’s take a deep acting cleanser and sanitize all of the mediocre health messages, the dirty business behind the drugs of commerce, the inadequacies of modern medicine, and make our own choices for our families. What if you could do something bold, powerful, and sweeping, loaded with imagination and backed by data?
What if? What if YOU gave your child the “well baby check–up”, right in your own home? What if YOU decided whether you wanted vaccinations for your child or YOU had the confidence to cure your own family withOUT antibiotics…and then never looked back?
Wow!
Good-bye mediocrity, good-bye side-effect laden drugs that frequently didn’t work anyway. Good-bye less than robust health. Good riddance to empty promises of cures. If this appeals to you, you’ve come to the right place. This is where it all begins. Cure your loved one once, just once, and you’ll be hooked for life. Once you open the door to this incredible method, called homeopathy, everything else will appear archaic, even foolish, in comparison.
That is because homeopathy is founded on real principles of health; true enduring principles that have proven themselves through two centuries of hospital and clinical data and in double-blind testing. In fact, the double-blind paradigm was invented by the homeopathic physicians of the last century.
Imagine this and then know it is not a dream. It is the reality that some of us have enjoyed for decades and we are here now partially because the emperor looks silly without his clothes. We’re now able to see the rouge; the sham has been disclosed and the public is taking notice.
Don’t misunderstand me. Certainly, there is a place for modern medicine. When justly employed, surgery can be a remarkable method, and at those times we want only the hands of a skilled surgeon. Modern diagnostics, when not exploited, can aid us in knowing which healing path to take, and emergency care is often life saving and noble. My complaint is in the interference with the body’s natural ability to heal by using drug methods that can be cavalier and dangerous.
Why did I find this before you? I discovered homeopathy years ago because I became chronically sick and was not being cured by modern medicine. In fact, it was making me sicker. I traveled from doctor to doctor and got the same reactions. The questions they persistently asked me were motivated by the goal of prescribing yet another non-curative drug that was intended to cover up symptoms.
Now, for a person who has led a relatively healthy life, there is no reason to be dissatisfied or question the status quo because modern medicine has not failed him or her. There has simply been no opportunity since modern medicine’s services were not required. I urge you to pay attention. For, it is in illness that problems are revealed and you must be prepared with knowledge to face those problems.
I’d like to help you learn how to take care of yourself and your family. With my site and blog, I’d like to share something with you that may radically revolutionize your ideas about medicine. This is your opportunity to get experience under your belt…..the kind of experience that will become your flagship for change. This is one of those opportunities to throw open the doors, toss in the dynamite, blow everything up, and build something better in its place.
I urge you not to settle for anything less; this is your and your family’s life. Study, learn, and embody homeopathic ways as if they were a matter of life and death. Take it on with gusto and I promise you, if you follow these methods and add regularly to your knowledge, you will amaze yourself with your ability.
The old adage, “If you want it done right; do it yourself”, is powerful and usually true. Surprisingly, we can learn plenty to enable us to take care of our families and ourselves. Most of what you will learn in this guide will be useable in short order; perhaps even today you can begin your adventure into homeopathy.
Homeopathy is a vast compendium of medical information, including theory and principles of enduring scientific logic. Yet, the treatment of common illnesses is easily mastered when you adhere to the laws and principles of homeopathy. Once you discover the elegance, purity, and incredible power that homeopathy provides, you will never want to return to conventional medicine’s sometimes archaic and dangerous ways.

great post
This is wonderful! Thanks so much for putting it so well. You and I came to Homeopathy the same way. I will forever try to pay it forward.
Great Work – keep it up !
Great post, great work.. Homeopathy, homeopathy, homeopathy !!!!
We are making a comeback. The American College of Homeopathy in Phoenix is completing accreditation for their Doctor of Homeopathy degree program and offer certificate programs, and operate a clinic. This is great news. Dr. Todd Rowe’s efforts are showing results.
Really interesting. Here is some information on the original hospital. The site is now a parking garage. Buffalo didn’t even realize what it was giving away the day they made that decision. http://gates.kaleidahealth.org/gen_info/about.asp
I’m believing more and more in the adage ‘if you want it done right, do it yourself’. In fact this is what led me to study naturopathy.
